Enjoy Pantone Colour of the Year 2018 with Tabitha James Kraan Organics

Anyone in the fashion, beauty or design industry knows that Pantone sets the colour code for the year ahead. Makeup, clothing, and interiors all follow suit, bringing the most current shade to life in a wide variety of ways.

For 2018, the Pantone colour of the year is a vibrant one: Ultra Violet. Said to communicate “originality, ingenuity and visionary thinking that points us towards the future”, this is undoubtedly very TJK Organics!

A million miles away from the crisp green shade of 2017, this year’s ultra-violet has been chosen to inspire non-conformity and self-exploration through artistic expression (icons Prince, Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie have all struck an impressive image in this Pantone choice!) and spiritual reflection. Ultra-violet is also strongly associated with mindfulness, something that we here at Tabitha James Kraan Organics view with the upmost importance.

The message of this year’s shade is bound to strike a chord with many of us, but if this vivid purple shade isn’t one that you can see yourself wearing, that doesn’t mean that you can’t join in. As Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Colour Institute says “The Pantone Colour of the Year has come to mean so much more than ‘what’s trending’ in the world of design; it’s truly a reflection of what’s needed in our world today.”, so our very own contribution to the Ultra-violet wave in the form of Tabitha’s signature amethyst stone on your dressing table and in your beauty routine might just be the answer you’re looking for…

What is Tabitha’s Signature Amethyst Stone?

Our organic hair care is designed and created with the whole of you in mind – ‘Holistic Hairdressing’ is kind of our thing. From the styles we come up with for our clients at our Cotswold salon to the gentle, healing and natural ingredients that we use in our award-winning products, for us, it’s not just about hair; it’s about a perfectly balanced scalp, body, mind and soul too and this leads us to a little something extra that you get when you treat yourself to TJK goodies…

Tabitha’s signature amethyst stone is something that we have always included in our Scented Organic Hair Oil and Organic Hair Perfume (ahead of the curve or what?!) but this gorgeous little ultra violet addition that falls so perfectly in-line with the Pantone Colour of the Year 2018 is more than just aesthetically pleasing. Incorporating crystals into your beauty routine is something that has been done for thousands of years in cultures all over the world and there’s good reason for that. With recent scientific findings coming out about the effects of crystal energy, there’s more to it than good juju.

How it Works

A beauty product, like ours, that is infused with crystals or certain minerals becomes ‘charged’. This is thanks to the crystals performing as electro-stimulants which are proven to act as semi-conductors for your skin, hair and body increasing cellular productivity and boosting the effects of other ingredients used.

The Benefits of Amethyst

When used right, crystals offer an abundance of benefits for all sorts of internal and external issues and come to the rescue by producing small, but detectable, levels of magnetic fields as well as far-infrared radiation (a type of long wave radiation found in all light) and heat particles that have numerous health benefits. These include promoting healthy cell growth, a lifted mood and detoxification. Each type of crystal is known for their own unique properties, but we love Amethyst as a superb all-rounder…

  • Helps to break bad habits and limiting behaviours
  • Reduces stress and anxiety
